Evaluation of heart murmurs Diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects (heart problems present at birth) Management of abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) Assessment and treatment of chest pain fainting (syncope) and palpitations Evaluation and management of high blood pressure (hypertension) in children Echocardiography (heart ultrasound) including fetal and pediatric echocardiograms Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) and Holter monitoring for heart rhythm assessment Exercise stress testing (when appropriate) Cardiac catheterization for diagnosis and certain minimally invasive treatments Follow-up care for children after heart surgery or cardiac procedures Management of heart failure cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension Screening of children with a family history of inherited heart disease Counseling on sports participation and heart health for children with cardiac conditions Coordination with pediatric cardiac surgeons when surgery is needed.
